大洲城は慶長年間に創建され、天守は明治に取り壊しとなったものの、台所櫓は解体を免れ、解体修理を経ながら、現代までその勇姿を見せてくれます。
昭和三十二年に国の重要文化財に指定されています。

Ozu Castle was built in the Keicho era, and the castle tower was demolished in the Meiji era, but the kitchen turret escaped dismantling, and while undergoing dismantling and repair, it shows its brave appearance to the present day.
It was designated as a national important cultural property in 1952.
