熊ヶ岳 - Uda

It is a mountain on the south side of Mt. Otowa in the Ryumon Mountains, which forms the boundary between Sakurai City and Uda City, and has an altitude of 904 m. There is a mountain name mark inside the tree planting. It is the highest peak of Otowasankannon, but there are no triangular points. To the south of this peak is a peak of 866m called Okumagatake, and to the south is a triangulation peak of 858.8m with a Kintetsu reflector installed. There is a fourth-class triangulation station "Kumagatake" here. It has been selected as one of the Nara 100 Mountains along with Mt. Otowa and Mt. Keigatsuka. On 21/05/14, I visited Otowasankannon, but it seems that it was recently maintained and the mountain trail was clear. The steep descent to Otoge was slippery due to the rain the day before, but if you grab the trees and go down, there should be no problem. The Otowa Sankan Longitudinal Road is mostly a walk through afforestation, so you can't see much of the view, but there are places where you can see the triangular Kumagatake on the way from Mt. There are places where you can see Ryumongadake (904.1m) in the south and the Omine mountain range. There are also places where you can see the town of Uda and the Taitaka Mountains. Nijoyama was also visible from the peak of the triangulation station. There are some rocks on the way, but if you pass carefully, there should be no problem. Each peak has a climb of about 100m, which is a tough road.
