A	Anne W on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This tiny cafe was a highlight of our Japan trip, as we loved the guitar jam session and the great character and history of this place. Great for vegetarian food. Some jazz/blues greats had signed the wall back in '92... Booker T and the MGs!

The walls are scribbled on with quotes and some amazing drawings, adding to the flavour and seemingly mysterious background of the owner who reminds me of a sailor with many stories to tell. Alas, I was not privy to them, though I would have liked to have had the opportunity to strike up a chat with this Japanese oldtimer. However, the food portions were small and its pretty expensive for what you end up getting. The chicken was pretty dry (chewy) in the enchiladas, the nachos were just tortilla chips with some random cheese gooped over it, in a less than satisfying amount. Definitly not a real mexican style, but if its tex-mex style portions that are supposed to be small, then I made the mistake of thinking it'd be more. The service was great though, and should be noted. Finally, saw a cockroach climbing up the wall behind some upside down dried flowers. That pretty much ruined the meal for me combined with the above dissappointing features. Food not too great. Atmosphere, owner and vibe great!

They have a tasty homemade soy cheese, and a lot of vegan options. I got the avocado salad and added cheese for a solid plate of vegan nachos, and then also tried the vegan enchiladas. Good for fixing those tex-mex cravings while in Japan!

W	Winterborne (Winterborne) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've only been to Otis! twice -- both times in the middle of the day when there's no one else there -- but it's been the same good experience. Most places are either closed in the afternoon, not open until later, or shut down due to ridiculous virus restrictions. However, I was able to enjoy a hot, yummy meal at Otis! in between "normal" lunch and dinner hours, which I really appreciate. The only thing I'd suggest is offering either some sides along with certain dishes (the enchiladas come with nothing, not even rice, beans, or chips), or having sets or add-ons so it's possible to have a variety of foods instead of just having to order several small dishes. I'd also gladly pay a little more for such sets or larger portion sizes, instead of having to order multiple single dish items on my own. Thank you!
