讀賣新聞をはじめ近隣ビルの建替・現代化が進むなか、この大手町ビルと、永代通り沿いの新大手町ビルは、昭和中期以来の姿をとどめて佇立していた。とはいえ、かつて昼休みや出先からの帰社途中に寄った地階や地下階の商業スペースは、covid-19の影響か、それとも大改修の時期が迫っているのか、シャッターが下りている店舗が目立った。
私が最も利用していた大手書店は、営業継続中であった。
駅に戻る途中、皇居方向(日比谷通りの西側)に位置する将門塚も訪問。何と改築工事中で、今春末(2021年4月末)まで参詣は叶わないことを初めて知った。
