★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 広島高速３号線の観音料金所を過ぎてからの無料区間にかかる橋で、自動車専用道路と平行に歩行者、自転車が通れる道と別れています。
橋からの眺めがとても良い橋です。

2014年（平成26年）3月23日開通[3]。太田川放水路最下流に架かる橋である[4]。広島南道路のうち広島市が事業整備した区間、つまり通行料無料である観音出入口-商工センター出入口間に架けられた橋である[3]。そのまま東へ進むと有料道路区間である広島高速3号線へ入る。広島南道路において唯一のアーチ橋（宇品大橋は桁橋に分類される）。将来的にはこの橋の両外側に国道橋が併設され、この橋自体は自動車専用橋梁となる予定である。
太田川放水路を渡河する計画は、広島西飛行場の存続に県側と市側の意見相違が絡んで橋梁案と沈埋トンネル案の2案でもめ決定が長引いたことから、広島南道路整備が他の広島高速道路に比べ着工が遅れる原因となった。
橋種選定にあたり国際的なデザインコンペティションが行われている。結果、車道は鋼・コンクリート複合アーチ橋[5]、歩道は別の橋としてそのアーチ橋に添架する[6]、珍しい橋が完成した。歩道の途中にはベンチが置かれ、夜間はライトアップされている[4]。

If you continue east, you will enter Hiroshima Expressway No. 3, which is a toll road section. The only arch bridge on the Hiroshima-Minami Road (Ujinao Bridge is classified as a girder bridge). In the future, national highway bridges will be added to both sides of this bridge, and the bridge itself will be a bridge exclusively for automobiles.
As for the plan to cross the Ota River drainage channel, the Hiroshima-Minami Road was improved because the decision on the bridge plan and the submerged tunnel plan was prolonged due to the disagreement between the prefecture side and the city side regarding the survival of Hiroshima West Airfield. This caused a delay in the start of construction compared to other Hiroshima Expressways.
An international design competition is being held to select the bridge type. As a result, a steel-concrete composite arch bridge [5] was added to the roadway, and another bridge was added to the arch bridge [6], and a rare bridge was completed. A bench is placed in the middle of the sidewalk and is lit up at night. [4]

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 光南と商工センターを端歩南道路。その歩道はとても自転車で走りやすい。太田川大橋は、ベンチも設けられており、散歩途中の休憩に良い。夕暮れ時が、ベストショット。

橋全体がカーブしていたり、歩行者用道路が車と分離されて橋の下に潜ったりしていて興味深い構造の橋です。
広島高速3号線の入り口でもありますが、一般道としてそのまま降りることも出来ます。御幸側の方から見ると、高速道の入り口の方まで内巻きにカーブを描く橋を一望することが出来ます。
