路線バスなのに3回の休憩がある、日本一長い路線バス「八木新宮特急バス」の到着八木まで40分ほどの場所です。近鉄大和八木駅へ和歌山県のJR新宮駅から結ぶ八木新宮特急バスのかえり(上り線)に停車する忍海バスセンター(通常の路線バスの際には忍海)です。八木新宮特急バスは全長166.8㎞、停留所の数は167、高速道路を使わない路線では、日本一の走行距離を誇ります。道中には、日本一大きな村といわれる十津川村、世界遺産「紀伊山地の霊場と参詣道」を駆け抜け、知る人ぞ知る温泉地もたくさんあります。コロナ禍のいま海外にはなかなか行くことが出来ないので、国内のこういう変わった旅をしながら世界遺産でハイキングしたり、温泉で疲れた体を癒せるスローなバスの旅は良い機会だと思います。

Along the way, there are many hot spring resorts known to those who know about Totsukawa Village, which is said to be the largest village in Japan, and the world heritage site "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range". It's hard to go abroad because of the corona, so I think it's a good opportunity to hike on a World Heritage site while taking such a strange trip in Japan, or to take a slow bus trip to heal your tired body at the hot springs. ..
