国道185号から農免道路に繋がります。
道路幅は、幅広ですが、
橋の出入口、主塔（本土側、四国側）に待避場所があります。
譲り合って通りましょう！
通過時は、主塔からPC桁に伸びる主ケーブルの眺めいいですよ！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 腕を上げて伸びをしてるようにみえる斜張橋。ドライブイン黒浜の穏やかな店内と相まって心地よい気持ちになった。
ちなみにケーブルの貼り方はハープ型、他のラジアル型・ファン型よりもすっきりと綺麗にみえるので景観に優しい橋のようだ。（2020.3.17）

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 本州と大芝島を結ぶ全長470mのかっちょいい斜張橋。橋上から眺める光景は素晴らしい。運転中に写真をとりたくなるが、じっと我慢大会。パトカーが巡回することもあるよ。
大芝島から見上げる大橋もこれまた美しい。夏の海と空を背景とすると最高じゃね。1997年土木学会田中賞作品部門受賞もうなずけるね。
A 470m long cable-stayed bridge that connects Honshu and Oshibajima. The view from the bridge is amazing. I want to take a picture while driving, but I endure the competition. Police cars may go around.
Ohashi looking up from Oshiba Island is also beautiful. It's great when the summer sea and sky are in the background. It is no wonder that the 1997 Japan Society of Civil Engineers Tanaka Prize winning work category.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日本には北方領土含め人の住んでいる有人島が416あるそうで、広島県には35島あります、その内、15以上の島が、橋伝いで本土と繋がっており、船を使わず車で行く事が可能です（スミマセン、正確な数はわかりません）
大芝島もそんな島の一つで大芝大橋により、本州と結ばれています
橋は全長470Mですが、農道という位置づけの為か、道路幅は4Mしかなく、大型車は通行不可です、橋の途中に離合箇所が二箇所あり、道路も直線で見通しが良いので、先に入った車優先で対向車が待ってくれます、普通車同士なら、離合箇所以外でもすれ違い可能とも思えますが、穏やかな島のルールに合わせて、お互い譲り合いましょう
橋を渡る手前の右側に駐車スペースがあり、7､8台駐車可能です
橋の下は釣りスポットであり、今の時期（10月）はイカやアナゴが狙い目だとか

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 長さ500mにも満たない橋ですが、何となくどっしり感があるように思います。車道は1.5車線とちょっと中途半端な気がしますが、この島だけのためにかけられたものだし、しょうがないですかね。

橋は狭く軽車両同士でも離合は難しいくらいの幅ですが橋の途中に退避スペースがあります?
