I had fun with the fureai (interacting with animals) corner which allows you to touch a few goats, several ducks, chickens and guinea pigs. Though adults are not allowed to go into the guinea pig corner to touch them. Kids queued up with their parents at the gate before entering.
The fureai corner only opens twice for an hour on a day so be sure to check their website on their fureai hours before going.
Theres a campsite in the garden too and a playground. And also a toy car area.
There's an interesting botanical garden nearby too which has a greenhouse with tropical plants.
