大阪天満宮（おおさかてんまんぐう）の公式ホームページです。大阪天満宮は、菅原道真公をお祀りした神社であり、市民の皆さまからは「天満の天神さん」と呼ばれ親しまれています。毎年7月24日から25日にかけて行われる天神祭は日本三大祭、大阪三大夏祭りとして有名です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not what I imagine for a temple that host the biggest matsuri in Osaka. Medium size temple. Friendly staff (can explain in English to some extent). Has its own charms nonetheless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful and peaceful! It is a fairly small shrine and active place of worship. You can see beautiful tori gates. It is not a popular tourist spot, so you can take your time and enjoy slowly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ clean and quiet temple. we went there at 3pm and it is quite empty, not so much tourist but they have closed the the wishing well water in the temple at the time we arrive. if you wan to take good insta photo do go there after lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great shrine accessible in the city that you can quickly duck into see. A lot to look at inside and take photos of. Also has a alley display of figuirines in Japanese History, with English captions. Its a quick visit but worth it if you are in the area or have extra time, very empty at 1600 when I visited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Little shrine in Osaka. Very calm. Not crowded. I went on a Sunday around 11h. Not much people. The shrine is nicely built. I was told that it welcome a lot of festival.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a beautiful and calm place hiding in this local. Not touristy at all, since it's a bit far, and really nothing to do but the temple itself. There is some story behind it, there are pictures on the wall and stuff. Nice little garden at the back. Very close to local market which is way better than the one in town. Food around this area is much cheaper too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shrine is small but many people come to ask for academic favors to Buddha for some reason. Since I gave up studying I enjoyed more their monkey entertainer. She was not very confident ... just like I used to be with my exams. She cried after falling on her jumping task but managed to do it the second time. She is also a good actress. I think I want to marry her! ha ha! Also the plum bonsai exhibition was OUTSTANDING and in full blossom. Something really unique and fully documented here from head to toes.
