★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昭和５０年ころまでは、超名門高校で、北摂の秀才が集まる高校でした。毎年、京大に１００名前後の合格者を出し、天王寺、大手前と京大の合格者数第一位を争っていました。学区の改編で三島地区の者が受験できなくなって、ややレベルダウンしましたが、最近はまた、持ち直しているようですね。当校は大阪府下のどこに住所があっても受験できるようになっているそうですね。

Every year, we submitted about 100 successful applicants to Kyoto University, and competed with Tennoji, Otemae and Kyoto University for the number of successful applicants. The reorganization of the school district has made it difficult for people in the Mishima district to take the exam, and the level has declined slightly, but recently it seems that it has been picking up again. It seems that our school can take the exam no matter where you are in Osaka.
