水道週間のイベントで、市の水道課の方々の案内で施設を見学させていただきました。日頃当たり前のように蛇口をひねると安全な飲み水が飲めるのは、浄水場が稼働して、管理してくださる方々が働いておられるお陰です。ありがとうございます。水源は比較的きれいな川ですが、一旦大雨が降ると川の水が濁るので濁りを固める凝集剤やph調整剤の最適解をテストする装置もありました。また、浄水場内でお魚を飼っていて、水源の水質が急に変化したときの魚の動きをモニターして警報を発するシステムがありました。それらの情報は職員のスマートフォンでモニターできるそうです。省力化のお手本を目の当たりにしたようでした。
