佐々木判官道誉(高氏)の、上総配流伝説。
白川妙法院門跡御所焼き討ち事件によって、上総国山辺郡に流罪が決まった佐々木道誉・秀綱父子であったが、この地までやって来たのかどうかは不明である。これほどまでに山門を嫌悪する姿勢は、自らの地元近江国守護である佐々木家と、同じく近江国に存在する比叡山延暦寺との政治経済機構の支配をめぐる対立から、積年の関係悪化が原因であるという。
上総国配流伝説は、千葉市緑区越智町のジャジャシキと、ここ小野城址の二か所に存在する。
