★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 地元に棲んでいながら、５０歳目前にして初めて参拝しました。落ち着いた雰囲気の神社ですが、社務所には常駐者はおらず、ご朱印はいただけませんでした。
I lived in my hometown, but I worshiped for the first time before I was 50 years old. Although the shrine has a calm atmosphere, there was no permanent resident at the shrine, so we could not give a red stamp.

境内の西側に立派な山車蔵があり、思わず写真に納めました。
勇壮な山車を一度見てみたいですね。

I would like to see the heroic floats once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 大きな楠木が圧巻です。樹齢800年から1000年とか。約25メートル巾もある樹枝は神々しく、まさに御神木です。樹木の中は空洞化しており、中に社が祀ってました。
Big Kusunoki is the highlight. From 800 years old to 1000 years old. Trees with a width of about 25 meters are divine, and they are truly sacred trees. The inside of the tree is hollow, and the shrine was worshiped inside.

太田の大樟
太田川のすぐ北にある大宮神社の境内にある。二の鳥居をくぐると樹齢1000年以上の大楠。幹回り10mほど、枝張り東西21.8mほど、南北23.7mほどで、高さは12mほど。幹に大きな空洞があり、洞の中に「楠王大竜神」がまつられている。このクスノキは、大宮神社の創建よりはるかに古いといわれている。
大昔この辺りは小さな島で、嵐で流された人が、小さなクスノキにすがりついて助かった。
この人がクスノキの祠にまつられている「楠王大竜神」であり、このときのクスノキが、今の大クスノキであるという言い伝えがある。クスノキは昭和45年に東海市の木に選ばれている。
