近世まで三輪大明神とよばれ、明治期に三輪神社と改称。大正期に下北条の八幡神社に合祀されたが、土下の村民は産土神の旧殿に参拝して祭礼を続けたらしい。昭和１５年に神社編入の懇請が認められ、主祭神大物主神に、土師の祖神である埴安神を合祭して大神神社を設立することを許可されたとある（因伯のみやしろ）

It was called Miwa Daimyojin until the early modern period, and was renamed Miwa Shrine in the Meiji period. It was enshrined at the Hachiman Shrine in Shimo-Hojo in the Taisho era, but it seems that the villagers under the ground worshiped at the old shrine of the Ubusunagami and continued the festival. In 1945, a solicitation for the incorporation of a shrine was approved, and it is said that the main shrine was allowed to establish a large shrine by enshrining Haniyasu-hiko, the ancestor of the earthen priest.
