Suicaなどの電子マネーは使えません。
アルコールやタバコ雑誌など売店としてひと通り揃ってます。
赤城土産は見ていて楽しいし、桐生の花パンなども買えます。
売り切れてることが多いですが、草木ドライブイン名物の草まんじゅうはぜひ買うことをおすすめします。
アルコールは地元のお酒赤城山?などが並び、ソフトクリームは６種類の味が楽しめます。
上電と東武を乗り継ぐなら、ぜひ覗かれることをおすすめします。
西桐生、中央前橋駅から売店がなくなり、もはや沿線唯一の売店。貴重ですね。

昔は金子つやこ売店と言う名前でした。
昭和44年までは、駅前の山田屋と言う菓子土産物屋が商いをしていて、当時山田屋にアルバイトとしていた金子つやこさんに、山田屋を廃業する時に売店の権利を譲って金子つやこ売店の名前に変わりました。今は駅舎が新しくなって、売店の名前も金子売店になった様子です。山田屋は私の父の店でした。私の記憶の限りでは「金子売店」はもう60年以上の歴史のある売店です。
皆さんお出掛けの際は是非立ち寄って下さい。確か売店には、銘菓旅がらす、麦落雁が60年以上群馬県の銘菓として未だに販売されているはずです。

It used to be called Kaneko Tsukako stand.
Until 1959, a sweet and souvenir shop called Yamadaya in front of the station was in business, and at the time when Yamadaya was part-time job, he handed over the right of the shop when the Yamadaya went out of business to Kaneko Tsuyako. It has been changed to a name. Now it looks like the station has been renewed and the name of the store has become a kaneko store. Yamadaya was my father's store. As far as I remember, the "Kaneko shop" is a shop with a history of more than 60 years.
Please stop by when you go out. Certainly, confectionery trips and malted rice cakes should still be sold as confectionery in Gunma Prefecture for over 60 years.
