山車は、大昔に京都市から譲られたものらしく、歴史を感じる。

当然，明治期の神仏分離令のころには廃仏毀釈運動の目の敵となりました．この塔が破壊されずに現代まで残ったのは，奇跡的なことです．
この塔が破壊をまぬかれた原因のひとつに，当時の宮司さんらによる「とんち」が考えられます．この三重塔は，明治三十四年の境内図ではなんと「三重高楼」と記されています．もしも三重塔を名乗ると，塔＝釈迦の遺骨を納める施設＝仏教だということで壊されてしまいますから，「高楼」と称することで仏教との無関係を証明しようとしたのでしょう．
