I don’t speak Japanese and it was a costly misunderstanding. I made an appointment for a “haircut,” and thought I made it clear I just wanted a cut/trim off damaged hair. The stylist pointed to two options and recommended one for my damaged hair. He gave me a quote, which I figured included the haircut. He then proceeded with shampoos and massages and hair treatment and then they started styling my hair asking if I wanted it curled or strait. I asked about haircut and he said he didn’t realize I wanted a cut... but it’s literally all I asked for at beginning and made appointment for and thought it was clear. Anyways he said it would be more money and then proceeded to cut hair after treatment and did a fantastic job. It ended up being about $140usd which is wayy more than I wanted to spend but my hair has never been so silk and smooth and haircut was great quality!
