佐	佐久間博秀 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この周辺には何度も自動車では来たことがあるのですが、電車に乗って訪れたのは初めてです。駅前は閑散としていて道路工事ばかりが目立っていますが、観光施設「秋田犬の里」ができたり、手漕ぎのトロッコ列車の体験ができたり、御成座という映画館が復活したりと、近年、活発な動きも見られます。 JR花輪線の終着駅にもなっており、盛岡・秋田・弘前から来る路線の分岐点、もうちょっとカッコよく言えばハブ駅になり得る場所なので、さらなる発展が期待されます☺️ 駅周辺には、JR貨物の大館駅や(おそらく)電電公社時代の古い電話交換所、マイクロ波の中継局があったと思しき古い建物などもあって、雰囲気は昭和時代そのものです。近隣には大サービス的な定食屋さん、喫茶可能なシュークリーム屋さんがありますので、ぜひブラブラ歩いて楽しんでみてください‼️ I've been to this area by car many times, but this is the first time I've been on a train. The front of the station is quiet and only road construction is conspicuous, but in recent years, the tourist facility "Akita Inu no Sato" has been opened, you can experience rowing trolley trains, and the movie theater called Onariza has revived. You can also see active movements. It is also the terminal station of the JR Hanawa Line, and it is a junction of lines coming from Morioka, Akita, and Hirosaki, and to put it a little cooler, it can be a hub station, so further development is expected ☺️ Around the station, there are JR Freight Odate Station, an old telephone exchange (probably) from the time of the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation, and an old building that seems to have had a microwave relay station, so the atmosphere is the same as the Showa period. There is a large service set meal shop and a coffee shop in the neighborhood, so please enjoy walking around! ️
Y	YS TGN on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 地方のターミナル駅感の雰囲気が素晴らしいです。駅前のロータリーはやや雑然としていました。ターミナル駅としての堂々とした雰囲気の駅舎がその役割を果たしている感じでした。発着本数は少な目です。 The atmosphere of a local terminal station is wonderful. The roundabout in front of the station was a little cluttered. I felt that the station building with a dignified atmosphere as a terminal station played that role. The number of departures and arrivals is small.
餃	餃子定食 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅舎建て替えのため、現在仮駅舎にて営業してます。旧駅舎は解体工事中で、慣れ親しんだ駅舎が変わり果てた姿を見てショックでしたが、新しい駅舎を楽しみに待ちたいと思います。 We are currently operating in a temporary station building to rebuild the station building. The old station building is under demolition work, and I was shocked to see that the familiar station building had changed, but I would like to look forward to the new station building.

弘	弘中あきら on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 奥羽本線と花輪線か交わるまあまあ大きな駅たが、只今改装中。この駅舎も無くなる。仮駅舎が建てられていて待合室もあるので、冬でも助かる。とんでもない雪でも、普通に電車は運航されている。 It's a fairly large station where the Ou Line and Hanawa Line intersect, but it's currently being renovated. This station building will also disappear. A temporary station building is built and there is a waiting room, so it will be helpful even in winter. Even with ridiculous snow, trains operate normally.

T	Taylor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful small station! I came to see the birthplace of Hachiko and this was my stop. A shrine to Hachiko and a statue out front. I was there in January and it was beautiful covered in snow. The cab driver was so kind and she seemed a little surprised and happy at my wanting to go see his birthplace.
