★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 北条宗時の墓は、JR函南駅近く大竹地区の高台に『宗時神社』として祀られ大小二つの墓石が在ります。
大きな墓石が北条宗時の墓で、北条宗時は北条時政の嫡男、北条政子の弟として生まれました。
源頼朝の平家打倒の挙兵に父と共に最初から従いましたが、石橋山の合戦に敗れた後、伊豆国北条荘へ逃れる途中、伊豆平井郷(函南町平井)の早川(冷川)付近で、伊東祐親の軍勢に包囲され平井郷の名主･小平井久重に討ち取られたと伝わっています。
吾妻鏡によると、鎌倉幕府が出来た暫く後の建仁2年(1202年)6月北条時政は、夢の御告げにより、当地を訪れ追悼供養を行ったと云われ、この時墓石や神社が造られたと思われます。
小さな墓石が狩野茂光の墓と云われています。
狩野茂光は、伊豆国最大の勢力を誇っていた工藤氏の嫡流で、おそらく石橋山の合戦で敗れ北条宗時と一緒か前後して函南迄たどり着いたところで、手傷を負っていた事から、孫の田代信綱に介錯させ自刃したのではないのかと思われます。
The tomb of Hojo Munetoki is enshrined as "Munetoki Shrine" on a hill in the Otake district near JR Kannami Station, and there are two large and small tombstones.
The large tombstone is the tomb of Hojo Munetoki, who was born as the younger brother of Hojo Tokimasa's son, Hojo Masako.
I followed Minamoto no Yoritomo's defeat of the Heike from the beginning with my father, but after losing the Battle of Ishibashiyama, on the way to Izu Kuni Hojoso, near Hiekawa (Hiekawa) in Izu Hirai Township (Kannami Town Hirai). It is said that he was surrounded by the army of Yuchika Ito and was defeated by Hisashige Kohirai, the master of Hirai-go.
According to Azuma Kagami, it is said that Hojo Tokimasa visited the area and held a memorial service in June of the 2nd year of Kennin (1202), shortly after the Kamakura Shogunate was established. It seems that it was made.
The small tombstone is called the tomb of Shigemitsu Kano.
Shigemitsu Kano was the ancestor of Mr. Kudo, who was proud of the greatest power in Izu Province, and he was probably defeated in the Battle of Ishibashiyama, and when he reached Kannami around the same time as Hojo Munetoki, he was injured. It seems that he was confused by Nobutsuna Tashiro and made a suicide.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 木が切られて丸坊主になってしまっています。北条宗時と狩野茂光の墓です。訪問した際、下の県道の工事で取付道路が無くなっていました。
１月下旬に再訪してみると、取り付け道路や階段はきれいに完成し、ベンチや案内板が更新されていました。
The tree has been cut and it has become a buzz cut. It is the tomb of Hojo Munetoki and Kano Shigemitsu. When I visited, the access road had disappeared due to the construction of the prefectural road below.
When I revisited in late January, the access roads and stairs were beautifully completed, and the benches and information boards were updated.
