★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 釜石漁業無線局 １９２９（昭和４）年開局。釜石無線漁協が運営、職員５人。自家発電を備える。震災前（２０１０年１２月）の所属船舶は遠洋マグロ船や近海の刺し網船、イカ釣り船など１３８隻、現在は約１２０隻。モールス電信と無線電話を使い、本県漁船の動静確認などを毎日行っている。電波は中短波と短波などを使用。両波は夜間、電離層と大地に反射し進む。短波は地球の反対側とでも通信できる。
 Kamaishi Fisheries Radio Station Opened in 1929 (Showa 4). Operated by Kamaishi Radio Fisheries Cooperative and has five staff members. Equipped with in-house power generation. Before the disaster (December 2010), the company had 138 vessels, including pelagic tuna vessels, inshore gill nets, and squid fishing vessels, and currently has about 120 vessels. We use Morse Telegraph and wireless telephones to check the status of fishing boats in this prefecture every day. Radio waves use medium and short waves and short waves. Both waves reflect off the ionosphere and the earth at night. Shortwaves can communicate with the other side of the globe.
