神	神山博光 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鉄道関連の雑誌では、難読駅名として時々紹介されてるそうだ。昭和30年(1955)に寄居、折原、用土、桜沢、鉢形村と合併し寄居町になったが、普通なら合併しても旧名が残るものだが、駅名と学校名等に残るのみ。〈おぶすま〉という名は、平安時代に男衾郡(おぶすまごおり)が置かれたことに由来するらしく、駅近くの小被神社(おぶすまじんじゃ)は、この郡の総鎮守として建立されたらしい。 In railway related magazines, it is sometimes introduced as the obfuscated station name.
