今年はコロナの影響でライトアップは無し
シダレザクラの他に、約６０本のソメイヨシノも植えられている。
参拝者向けの駐車場もあるため車で近くまで行ける。
散歩コースにもオススメ

青森では古い神社です。境内にはロウソクが龍の形になった写真が飾られていました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 延暦十一年蝦夷鎮護の祈願所として草創され、同二十年坂上田村麻呂将軍東夷征討の時、本社殿を再興して妙見宮と称して天之御中主神を祭ると言い伝えられる。又津軽藩の成立により外ケ浜の古社として初代藩主津軽為信公の当社再建、二代藩主信牧公の祈願等歴代藩主の社殿修復参拝をたまわり、四代藩主信政公は社殿の再建並びに庭園を築き、桜樹を移植して境内を整備し神聖を計り、九代藩主寧親公は由緒深き本社の御神事を盛んならしめんと壮麗なる本殿を構築し、御神器諸物、御真筆の社号の額を奉納。国家安泰を祈願され、本社を津軽藩の大社に列し社禄を与える等、藩中に重きを成すのみでなく一般民衆に厚く尊栄せられ、大祭及新年旧正月十五日には遠近の村落よりの参詣人で賑わう。明治初年廃藩置県と共に社禄及び一切の出費廃止となり、明治三年迄妙見宮と称するが、同年神仏分離令により大星神社と改称し、同六年郷社に列せられる。
