★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 動物が好きなとても優しいご住職が迎えてくださいます。珍しい猫不動様が居られ愛猫の長寿をお祈りしました。不動堂のお不動様もとても立派で愛らしいおみくじが色々あります。お寺のすぐ側まで車で行くことが出来、お足の悪い方でもお参りしやすいお寺だと思います。
A very kind priest who likes animals will welcome you. There was a rare cat, Fudo-sama, and I prayed for the longevity of my cat. Fudo-sama of Fudodo also has various omikuji that are very nice and adorable. You can drive to the immediate side of the temple, and I think it's an easy place to visit even if you have a bad foot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 近畿三十六不動尊霊場の３０番札所です。ナビの案内で向かったのですが吉野杉に覆われた林道を走れど走れど目的地に到達せず、元に戻って住人に道を訪ねるとナビとは全然違う方向でした。
It is the 30th bill place of Kinki 36 Fudo Holy Ground. I was guided by the navigation system, but I ran on a forest road covered with Yoshino cedar, but I couldn't reach my destination. When I returned to the original road and visited the road, the direction was completely different from that of the navigation system.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 近畿三十六不動尊霊場三十番札所のお寺。
駐車場にはトイレもありかなりの台数が駐車できますが、山道を分け入る下り階段が続いていたので
もう少し寺にアクセスできないか進んでみたところ、かなりの急勾配で車一台通るのがやっとの側道を降りていくと裏門にたどりつきました。そこに車を停めて歩いて本堂に向かったら後ろからタクシーがどんどん入ってきたけど、まぁ一般人は門の前までですよね。
階段を登った裏山には後醍醐天皇の御陵があります。

There is a toilet in the parking lot and a considerable number of cars can be parked, but since the down stairs that divide the mountain road continued.
When I went ahead to see if I could access the temple a little more, I finally reached the back gate when I got off the side road after passing one car on a fairly steep slope. When I parked my car there and walked toward the main hall, taxis came in from behind, but the average person is right in front of the gate.
On the back mountain after climbing the stairs is the Imperial Mausoleum of Emperor Go-Daigo.

As the name suggests, En no Gyōja is a temple of Nyoirin Kannon. During the Nanbokucho period, it was the temple of Emperor Go-Daigo's Imperial Palace, and there is also a royal tomb in the precincts. In addition, it is a temple where Masatsura Kusunoki, a loyal retainer, worshiped before the battle of Shijonawate with the Ashikaga army and dedicated the sword.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This fascinating temple contains a small collection of artifacts that describe the lesser known story of Kusunoki Masatsura and his 143 retainers who sacrificed themselves in an unwinnable battle in defense of the Emperor Godaigo, who moved his capital to Mt. Yoshino after the split with the Ashikaga clan.
Masatsuura was a true modern soldier far ahead of his time. Unlike the other storied Samurai of the time, he was a realist who saw war as the last resort, and only to be used for the Emperor and the state, not for personal gain or for the benefit of his clan. Yet when his clan did fight, it was known for its ability to overcome much larger forces and to perservear over long drawn out conflicts.
