★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cutest temple you will visit in Kyoto. And you can even eat some themed sweets along side the main priest, which happens to be a cat. It's a bit out of the way, but if you get the chance to check it out don't miss it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took a great effort for me to reach here, disappointed as its actually more like a cafe than a temple, head priest cat not available when I came there, only one ginger cat that came into room for 5 minutes and left. Ordered a pudding and tea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved this place! It’s like an art gallery of all cat stuff, cat things to buy, two cool cat shrines, and a cat monk was there. There is also a parking lot. Definitely recommend it for cat lovers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The gallery is really cute, but too small. If you going to Kyoto just for a few days, I would not recommend you to visit this place, as you spend more time for road, than in the gallery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well... what can I say. This was less of a temple and more of a small house full of cats + cat lady.
It has one room which was a museum, one which was a resturant and another was a gift shop. The entire place had a strange old cat smell which instantly put me off trying the food.
I would say that if you are a big fan of cats then maybe it's worth it but for me it was not the best.... mo

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only true lovers of cats and Japan will understand and appreciate this place. Went all the way here and I was not disappointed! Met the head priest and got to carry her, ate their special curry and even got interviewed for a TV show! Dog cafes are nice and all, but they pale in comparison to a cat temple ? definitely going back when I visit Japan again!
