塩山ファクトリーはNTTクラルティ社を中心にNTTグループ会社協賛の元、2011年に各種紙製品の製造・販売を開始した。場所はNTT塩山ビルを用いている。NTTの窓口での対面受付の業務がなくなったため遊休事務所を活用している。障がいしゃ雇用の促進もあり事業開始されたが、現在の製品の質は極めて高精度かつ高品質であり、NTT各社社員の顔である名刺や社内賞賛関連の用紙（賞状等）にも用いられるほどである。また一般向けにも商品企画しておりファクトリー製作した手漉きの紙を使った商品（卓上カレンダーやメモ等）の製作している。また、毎年新商品の企画・開発をファクトリー全体で取り組み従業員が意欲を持ち働けるよう工夫ているようである。甲州市塩山の顔である甘草屋敷の特産品販売所で、ファクトリーで制作された商品を購入できる。（添付写真）またファクトリーは公開しているわけではないので、直接製造過程を見学することは通常できない。どうしても見学が必要な場合はクラルティ社へ相談が必要。
