リーディング編／Part 7の長文問題対策のツボ

こんにちは、英会話スクールNOVAです。 TOEIC®スコアアップへの道／リーディング強化編をお読みいただきありがとうございます。今回はPart 7の読解問題の対策についてお話させていただきます。ここでは以下の３点に絞って対策と問題を解く際のポイントを見ていきます。 (1) 総合的な英語力を上げるまず全体的に言えることですが、Part 7は長時間の読解をする体力が必要になります。最初は時間が足らなくても構いませんが、スコアアップのためにはできるだけ多くの文書に目を通し、正確に解いていく必要がります。そのためにも普段から ① TOEIC®対策の問題集で1日1題のペースでもPart 7のものに触れる ② ネット上で英語の記事に触れる ③ NOVAのTargetテキストの問題を解いたものの文章のみ読み直すなどの勉強法を是非取り入れてみてください。総合的な読解力が上がることで、テストの時も読める分量が増えていきます。 (2) 問題文を先にみるテストの際はシングルパッセージですと、上記のような文が出てきます。最初から文章をすべて読んでから問題を解くという手法もありますが、それでは問題を解く時になって、文章の内容を忘れていたという事態にもなりかねません。それを未然に防ぐためにもまずは、問題文に目を通して、「どういった情報が必要か」を頭に入れた上で文を読みましょう。必要な情報を拾いながらする読解をスキャニングといいますが、TOEIC®ではこの能力が特に必要になります。 (3) ダブルパッセージの解き方 TOEIC®では文書が複数あるものを読む必要があります。重要なポイントとしましては、1つの文書だけではなく、複数の文書の情報を照らし合わせて解く必要があるタイプの問題がありますので、その練習をTarget テキスト等を用いてしていただきたいということです。「なかなか解答根拠が見つからないな」と思った時は、この複数の文書間の情報参照ではないかと疑ってみてください。今回は以上です。リーディングに関しては、TOEIC®の問題演習と英語を読む活動を組み合わせた上で、読解のトレーニングの時間を取ってみてください！

It's in a big building so you might get lost before you get there! But because it's on the 20th floor, the view is amazing! It was nice that the receptionist was polite!
雪	雪村紅 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 今は社長のＫマイさん。受付の奥で大きな声で営業成績の悪いスタッフを怒鳴り散らしていたのが印象的。怖い会社なんだなと。昭和の金融屋さんのような会社。数字が作れないんだったらいる意味が無いそうです。分かりやすいブラック。 Now President K My. It is impressive that the staff with poor business performance shouted in a loud voice at the back of the reception. I'm a scary company. A company like Showa's financial shop. There seems to be no meaning if you can't make numbers. Easy to understand black.
R	Re Ne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the worst employer I have ever had. The so called managers basically do not know what they are doing. Every little thing must be written down and handed in, however that only applies for employees, since managers "do not make mistakes". Forget requests or follow-ups, they will be ignored 98% (apparently, NOVA stands for NO VAcation). There is no discretion from any staff member (they basically treat you like a dumb dog) regarding anything. Please read the common forums online about this place. It is hell on earth, rest assured. Besides the employment circumstances it is worth noting that they make 0 effort to actually teach anything. The computers are from the 80's, the "school" centers are caves of filth which don't ever get cleaned (I am not remotely exaggerating). The curriculum is a mishmash of useless lectures that don't teach anything but phrases (e.g. "How to speak to a music professor", that is while most students are over 40 years old). There are students who have been with NOVA for 5,7,10 years and still don't speak the language. That is because they don't hire teachers but basically any bogan from a foreign country and claim his/her mother tongue is sufficient enough a teaching skill which then results in speaking 40 min. crap while the Japanese students are writing the crap down. Do yourself a favour and ignore the place.
