★ ★ ★ ★ ★ パン屋、和菓子屋、雑貨屋などありますが、フツーにカフェやアイスとかクレープとか軽食のお店で良いでは。近くのスタバやコメダやマック、ロッテに行きます。近鉄あるし。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR草津駅東口すぐの緑の多い広場。和菓子、パン屋、カフェ、雑貨屋さんなどいくつかの店が周りにあります。いづれもいい店です。普段はその店で買い物するか、歩いて素通りしますが、たまに、イベントが開催されてます。なにしろ草津駅前という好立地で、駅からも目立つので、人が集まります。場所がそれほど広くはないので、人気店の前に長い列ができてしまうと歩くスペースかなくなったりしてしまいますが、覗くだけでも楽しい場合が多いです。
A lot of green open space right after JR Kusatsu Station East Exit. There are several shops around, such as Japanese sweets, bakery shops, cafes and general store shops. It's a nice shop. I usually go shopping at that store or walk around, but sometimes events are held. People are gathered at a good location, Kusatsu Ekimae, which stands out from the station. Because the place is not so large, if you have a long line in front of a popular store, you will not have space to walk, but it is often fun just by looking at it.

草津駅前東口にある、ニワタス。
植栽が美しく、前を通るたびにいい気分になります。緑の時期も爽やかで素敵ですが、秋の紅葉が始まり、より一層美しい色彩で彩られました。
11月中旬の時点では、モミジの紅葉はまだでしたが、他の木々は赤や黄色に美しく紅葉していました。敷地内にパーゴラがあり、小さな小径の紅葉がとても綺麗で、色とりどりの落ち葉があり、とっても素敵な雰囲気です。
お手入れも行き届いており、あるべきところには美しい落ち葉が飾られ、それ以外の所は、清潔に掃き掃除がなされていました。
ターミナル駅のそんなに大きくないスペースですが、通勤・通学時に、ひと時、ほっと気が休まり、美しい紅葉や緑に心癒されます。

Niwatas at the east exit in front of Kusatsu Station.
The planting is beautiful and I feel good every time I pass in front of it. The green season is also refreshing and wonderful, but the autumn leaves have begun and the colors are even more beautiful.
As of mid-November, the maple leaves were not yet colored, but the other trees were beautifully colored red and yellow. There is a pergola on the premises, the small autumn leaves are very beautiful, and there are colorful fallen leaves, which is a very nice atmosphere.
It was in good condition, with beautiful fallen leaves where it should be, and clean sweeps everywhere else.
It's not a big space at the terminal station, but when you commute to work or school, you can relax and be healed by the beautiful autumn leaves and greenery.
