・列車に乗ってぼんやりしていたら、いきなり逆方向に動き出し、気がついたらホームについていた…？じつは、これはスイッチバック（折り返し型停車場）という、峠を克服するために作られた運転手法です。
・二本木駅は、今でも現役でスイッチバックを行っている全国でも貴重な駅。
・夏になるとうつくしい田園風景と車両を写真におさめようと、全国から鉄道ファンがカメラ片手にやってきます。
・電車を降りたあと、駅改札に向かうときに、くらーい地下通路を降ります。じつはここ、防空壕であったといわれています。
・駅舎の隣にあるレンガの小屋は、かつて電気がない時代にライプを灯すために貯蔵した軽油の保管場所。大雪にも耐えられる設計です。
・駅を降りて徒歩15分ほどのところに、焼肉で有名な「豊岡精肉焼肉店」があります。時間があればぜひ行ってみてください。おいしいですよ。

祝・国登録有形文化財！
3月に駅舎ほか二本木駅の建造物6棟とスイッチバックが文化財として承認されました。ますますこの駅がみなさまに愛されるように。

・ Nippongi Station is a valuable station even in the whole country, which is currently doing active switchback.
・ Railway fans come from all over the country with a camera in order to capture the beautiful countryside and vehicles in summer.
・ After getting off the train, when going to the station ticket gate, get off the underground passage. Actually, it is said that it was an air-defense here.
・ The brick hut next to the station is a storage place for light oil that was once stored for lighting the live when there was no electricity. It is designed to withstand heavy snow.
・ Take off the station and walk about a 15-minute walk to the famous "Toyoka meat barbecue restaurant" for grilled meat. Please go if you have time. It's delicious.

Congratulation ・ country registration tangible cultural property!
In March, the station building and six other buildings at Nihongi Station and the switchback were approved as cultural assets. I hope this station will be loved by all of you.

ローカル駅です。趣のあるホームです。
駅ホームが通過する線路とは別の線路上にあるのでスイッチバックをします。
電車好きな人におすすめ！
I passed to go from Joetsu Myoko to Myoko Kogen.
It is a local station. It is a quaint home.
Since it is on a different track from the one that the station platform passes through, we will switch back.
