I felt the forest road was long, but I arrived at the summit in about an hour and a half. There were no dangerous spots and the view from the mountaintop was the best. There was also an observatory.

2021/02/14 Natsuyake Jogayama: The ruins of Takebushi Castle, the place where the watch stand of American fighters was located during the Pacific War. The summit is wide and has a view of the cityscape of Inabu, Mt. Ontake, Mt. Ena, and Mt. Okawairi. In the observatory newly installed in 2019, photos of that time are also exhibited and you can know the history of Natsuyake Jogayama. It seems that locals climb the mountain on New Year's Day every year. It is a wonderful satoyama with multiple routes to the summit! Route of the day: Oidaira route of piston from Oidaira Park to the summit Weather: Cloudy / Sunny Time required: Round trip 2 hours 40 minutes (including breaks) Parking lot: Oidaira Park, toilet available (also available in winter) Route status: When you climb up the park from the parking lot, you will join the forest road. Once you go down to Asama Shrine, walk along the forest road to the trailhead again. All right? Isn't it wrong? By the time I started thinking, I finally arrived at the trailhead with a simple toilet and an iron ladder (40 minutes to this point). It took 40 minutes to reach the summit of the mountain, and I am grateful that help ropes were installed everywhere for a fairly rapid climb. If you see a square observatory when you look up, you've arrived at the summit! !! The return route is a piston, the descent is fast, but the long forest road is tough ... There is no such thing as a sober up forest road from Asama Shrine ~ Choi Zuru Route: You can also park at Asama Shrine, so if you want to shortcut a long forest road, you may want to park there ... Impressions: Oidaira Park is famous for rhododendrons, and the autumn leaves are wonderful, so it's good to climb the mountain at the right time. It's quiet in winter but the air is clear so the view from the summit was outstanding. There was only a popular satoyama, so I passed many climbers and dogs on this day. The summit is wide, so you can maintain a good social distance (laughs). The view overlooking from the new shiny observatory is also quite good. I climbed from Asama Shrine, but on the way through the forest road, I entered the mountain road to the left and climbed the mountain road at the root of the tree. There were some steep slopes, but I was able to climb it in about 50 minutes. The weather was nice on that day, but the wind was cold and I still felt cold. A new observation house was built. The view was refreshing, and I could see Mt. Ena and Mt. Mitake in the north.
