Y	Yie Hou Lee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grand Mer Sansaiko Ajigasawa is a fantastic hotel to stay. Service, from the pick-up, reception to the waitresses, is top-notch (not always found in other hotels in Japan when you cannot speak the langauge) and are always smiling and patient. It helps that the young lady proprietress can speak Mandarin. The onsen is that of minerals coming from the seas, atypical of the sulfurous spring water, and the view out of the Sea of Japan is just soul-soothing and visually pleasing. The food served kaiseki-style reflects the locality of the hotel, seafood being its prime harvest and you will find abalones, squids and seasonal catches. Really awesome if you enjoy the colours and natural flavours of the harvest. The lobby also has a shop which sells many of Aomori and Ajigasawa-only delicacies and souvenirs. It is highly recommended you buy a few of them because you are unlikely to see them again!

No response after a few days so I followed up with another email & also left message on enquiry page on their website. No response whatsoever!!! Not very typical of the usual top notch Japanese hospitality!!!!
L	Lingua Tokyo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the larger hotels in the area, I chose it for the availability of free WiFi throughout the property and good reviews of its onsen. While the hotel is showing its age, I found it satisfactory for what it is - a typical Japanese style hotel. Some modernization is evident, including (a rather quietly kept) pillow menu and a selection of herbal teas at the breakfast buffet. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The evening Tsugaru Shamisen show asks for audience participation and has good atmosphere. The sunset can be spectacular if you're lucky - as I was. All in all, a pleasant stay but nothing speaks for me to stay at this specific hotel again (except the WiFi of course).
N	Neil Strong on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried the dinner set at the hotel. The arrangement of the food and the setting are traditional Japanese style and they're yummy too. It might take two to three hours to finish the meal, one should reserve ample time for a meal there.

Kogawa assisted us with checking in and showed us the room while she did not speak much English she was able to tell us everything we needed to know and left us with huge smiles on our faces. Do yourself a favour and stay here and I believe you will also be glad you did! Thank you so much to all the staff.
S	Sid S. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Upscale hotel. Room is luxurious, clean, and modern. My room had very nice view of Sea of Japan. Nothing really to complain. They also have free little concert for guests at night. Food was good. But I felt volume was a bit on lower side. I wanted some more. You really need a car to get here. I'm not so sure about buses. If I recall correctly, it wasn't near any train station. I highly recommend this place.

Everything was extremely clean, staff was so friendly/helpful with giving me recommendations for places nearby to visit. Booked private onsen and it was clean and relaxing. Dinner and breakfast was 10/10, amazing!

The dinner and breakfast was tasty and a lot volume. Especially like the fresh cook tempura and French toast shows their effort. 溫泉棒很乾淨食物也很用心！
