★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 円形の待合室？というかスペースがあるので、ここで買ったお弁当食べました〜。
鳴子温泉の11月は雨が多くて、
宿まで戻るのが大変なので助かりました。
でも、おトイレの前通っただけで、凄い臭いして、その隣が観光案内所みたいな旅行代理店？があるのに、それ放置なの？とちょっとドン引きしてました。
最近の駅のトイレにしては、びっくり。

It is a station of Naruko Onsenkyo, the largest hot spring town in eastern Japan, located in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.
It is a station on the Rikuuto Line of JR East, and runs from Kogota Station to Shinjo Station in Yamagata Prefecture.
The origin of Naruko, the theory that was given because there was a volcanic eruption in this position and it sounded like a baby's bark, and Minamoto no Yoshitsune, also known as Ushiwakamaru. There is a theory that Kamewakamaru, a child of Yoshitsune, used the hot springs of Naruko here as a hot spring (Ubuyu), hence the name Naruko.
The entire area is a hot spring town, and a variety of hot springs with nine spring qualities are attractive.

また、玉造郡旧鳴子町にあたる現在の地名でもある。厳密には「鳴子温泉」という大字があるわけではないが、旧鳴子町の大字「鳴子町（大字）○○」が「大崎市鳴子温泉○○」という大字になっている。

Naruko Onsen is a hot spring located in Naruko Onsen, Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture (former Mutsu Province, Rikuzen Province after the Meiji era). It is the center of Naruko Onsenkyo. Along with Iizaka Onsen in Fukushima Prefecture and Akiho Onsen in Miyagi Prefecture, it was counted as one of the three famous hot springs in Oshu.
It is also the current place name, which corresponds to the former Naruko Town in Tamatsukuri District. Strictly speaking, there is no large character "Naruko Onsen", but the large character "Naruko Town (large character) XX" in the former Naruko Town is now a large character "Naruko Onsen XX in Osaki City".
From the pronunciation of Tohoku dialect such as Sendai dialect, many people call it "Narugo-" with dakuon. In addition, the nearest station was also muddy as "Naruko Station" in the old station name, but when the name was changed in 1997, it was changed to "Naruko Onsen Station".
