丹後地方にはいろいろな伝説諸説ありロマンが膨らむが
とても立派な社や鳥居などとてもきれいに整備手入れされていた。誰が来るとも分からないのに手拭きも準備されて日々、地域住民にとっても大切な神社なのでしょう。

境内は細やかながらも、きれいに保たれており心地よい。
峰山の町は豊受大神を祭る式内社がぐるりと取り囲む。さすが御食国の中心地。
