★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 建久2年(1191)に南部光行が糠部郡の領主として入部した際に、津島平次郎景満に命じて甲斐国の南部郷より氏神の八幡宮を移させたと伝えられている。
貞応元年(1222)にそれを八戸の櫛引村に移した。これが南部領総鎮守・櫛引八幡宮であり、中渡八幡宮は滝ノ沢本宮八幡宮と呼ばれた。
 It is said that when Mitsuyuki Nanbu joined the lord of Nukanobu District in 1191, he ordered Heijiro Tsushima to move the Hachimangu Shrine from the southern part of Kai Province.
In the first year of Sadao (1222), it was moved to Kushihiki Village in Hachinohe. This is Kushibiki Hachimangu, the guardian of the southern territory, and Nakato Hachimangu was called Takinosawa Honmiya Hachimangu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 南部一宮とも尊称される八戸市の櫛引八幡宮であるが、南部光行が甲斐の国から勧請したのはこの八幡宮だったといわれる。当初は滝沢八幡宮と呼称された。当主の累代の子孫である滝沢家に伝わる古文書にその経緯があるらしい。その古文書は十和田市に寄贈された由、その解読が待たれる。
櫛引に移されたのは1222年であるとされる。これは櫛引八幡宮の開基のとして記録されているものと一致する。移す「遷座する」となれば、もとのお宮もなくなるのではないかと思うのだが、ここはそのまま八幡宮として存続し現在は中渡八幡宮と呼称されている。
このように歴史ある神社であり、十分に広い境内ではあるが、少しばかり荒れている。除草剤がまかれたまま、雑草が立ち枯れたまま、であったり、堂屋も閉じられたままであったのは残念だった。
Kushibiki Hachimangu in Hachinohe City is also known as Nanbu Ichinomiya, but it is said that it was this Hachimangu that Mitsuyuki Nanbu solicited from Kai no Kuni. Initially it was called Takizawa Hachimangu. It seems that the history is in the ancient documents handed down to the Takizawa family, the descendants of the owner's generation. The old document was donated to Towada City, and its decipherment is awaited.
It is said that it was transferred to Kushibiki in 1222. This is consistent with what is recorded as the opening of Kushibiki Hachimangu. I think that the original shrine will disappear if it is to be relocated, but it has survived as Hachimangu and is now called Nakawatari Hachimangu.
It is a historical shrine like this, and although the precincts are wide enough, it is a little rough. It was a pity that the herbicides were still sown, the weeds were dead, and the temples were still closed.
