★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 練馬区中村地区の村社です。住宅街に鎮座されています。境内は住宅地にありながら、ゆったりしています。以前は、境内に「首つぎ地蔵尊」が祭られていましたが、南蔵院へ遷座されています。
It is a village company in Nakamura district of Nerima-ku. It is enshrined in a residential area. The precincts are spacious, even though they are in residential areas. Previously, "Kutsugi Jizo-son" was enshrined in the precincts, but has been transferred to Nanzoin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 中村地区の鎮守の社、氏神様。東京のこの辺は八幡宮が多いですね。蝦夷の高見国侵略の歴史を感じます。全ての魂の安寧を祈念しました。
Ujigami, the guardian shrine in the Nakamura area. There are many Hachiman shrines in this area of Tokyo. I feel the history of Ezo's invasion of Hitakami. I prayed for the well-being of all souls.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「新編武蔵風土記稿」に、南蔵院が別当をしている、村の鎮守(意訳)…と書かれている八幡神社。
因みに南蔵院はこの神社から東に少し歩いたところにある御府内八十八ヶ所霊場にもなっている真言宗の古刹。
神社の境内は広く、地元の人がよくお参りしています。
この神社のすぐ北を鎌倉道が斜めに横切っている上に、その道を北上すると、豊島氏が本拠とした旧豊島園園地の豊島城もかなり近い場所にある。
源氏を始めとした鎌倉武士が信仰した、八幡信仰が根付くには絶好な立地にあると感じる。
神職は居ない為、御朱印等の授与はありません。
Hachiman Shrine, which is written in the "New Musashi Fudoki Manuscript" as the guardian of the village (translation), which Nanzoin is doing separately.
By the way, Nanzoin is an ancient temple of the Shingon sect, which is also a sacred place for 88 places in Gofunai, which is a short walk east of this shrine.
The precincts of the shrine are large and are often visited by locals.
The Kamakura Road diagonally crosses just north of this shrine, and if you go north on that road, you will find Toshima Castle, the former Toshima Garden where Toshima was based, quite close.
I feel that it is in a great location for the Yawata worship, which was worshiped by the Kamakura samurai including Genji, to take root.
Since there is no priesthood, there is no awarding of red stamps.
