設立は昭和48年2月24日
平成21年4月に福島県との「大規模災害時における応援に関する協定」を締結
東日本大震災「応援協定」により緊急復旧のため支援活動を実施
平成24年に一般社団法人となる。
協会には

の4委員会が設置され
協会の目的である、
安全な県土の建設及び快適な自然環境を維持するため、地質調査の普及及び啓蒙並びに技術向上のほか、地質調査を業とする者の経営の改善を図り、もって地域社会の福祉に寄与する
を実現するため日々活動している。
なお平成30年4月時点で

Concluded "Agreement on Support in the Event of a Large-Scale Disaster" with Fukushima Prefecture in April 2009
Support activities for emergency recovery under the Great East Japan Earthquake "Support Agreement"
Became a general incorporated association in 2012.

The purpose of the association,
In order to construct a safe prefectural land and maintain a comfortable natural environment, in addition to disseminating and enlightening geological surveys and improving technology, we will improve the management of those engaged in geological surveys and contribute to the welfare of the local community.
