★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful shop where you can buy handmade one-off indigo-dyed garments including dresses and scarves. The colours and handiwork are gorgeous. Service was very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely beautiful hand-dyed, hand-sewn, family owned and run business! We met the wife when making our purchase. We do not speak Japanese, but she used a translate app and was incredibly kind and patient with us. She explained how she sews everything herself and her husband dyes the fabric. Shopping here was the highlight of our stay in Kyoto. The bag we bought has amazing texture and color and I wear it almost every day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Indigo Artisan hand dyed by husband, hand sewn by wife. Indigo apparently repels mosquitos and snakes. One of only a handful of indigo tradespeople left in all of japan. Beautiful shades of blue, some pieces taking years to make.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ WOW!!! Family owned store with everything in the store having at least a part of it made by the owner. Looking for clothing and accessories hand dyed in indigo from a family farm? This is your place. Picked up a lovely dress for my wife. I'll come back next time in Kyoto. Some pictures of their beautifully handcrafted goods below!!
