The lotus in Senshu Park was lit up and the night view was a little disappointing ? It's a pity though the name is Lotus! If you go to a cafe during the day, the scenery will look great!

We stayed at the Akita Castle Hotel (which we thoroughly enjoyed) but the highlight was this gem of a bar in the hotel - the Bar Lotus. Although Covid precautions were taken, we were still able to enjoy several cocktails. The bar was empty except for my wife, myself and a very professional and friendly bartender. What I found most impressive was their cocktail menu, undoubtedly the most extensive I have seen in Japan. The precision in making our drinks including the hand carving of clear ice to be used in our cocktails could not be overlooked. The cocktails were magnificent! I highly recommend Bar Lotus.
