Nagaoka Park - Utsunomiya

It is a place that is difficult to understand except for locals, but it is a good place where children and adults can take a walk or exercise lightly because the site is large.

It is a large and beautiful park. There is an open space where you can play ball games. There is also a well-maintained walk course. There are various trees to enjoy cherry blossoms, azaleas and four seasons. There is a roller slide. There is no water at the moment but there is a fountain in the back. If you go further you can explore the forest.

It's large and the air and the place are all good as a park. But a little after us, a 2-year-old kid is in trouble trying to go only on the road side T.T.

It's very spacious and comfortable. I think it's great for walking. It is interesting to have auxiliary equipment that allows you to exercise lightly. There are no shops, but there is a covered break space, so you can eat lunch.

2021/4/30 The flowers of peony cherry blossoms are scattered, and young leaves such as Metasequoia are conspicuous. 2021/3/23 Magnolias have begun to bloom. 2021/3/15 The flower buds of Prunus campanulata are getting bigger. 2021/3/11 Crocuses are in bloom and erythronium buds are coming out. 2021/2/27 Fukuju grass has begun to bloom. 2020/12/9 The Buddhist temple adjacent to this park is the starting point of the Toyogo Mahoroba Road. This Buddhist temple is unexpectedly unknown, but it is quite huge when viewed from a close distance. Nagaoka Park is made by reclaiming waste, and there are Higan cherry blossoms and cypress trees that have become quite large trees. There is a lawn ground in the center, which is a playground for small children. There are many courses, including a circuit road paved with concrete up to 1.5km, and some people enjoy running or take a walk. In some parts of the north, the sardines are in bloom in the spring. Looking north while looking at this park on the left, there is a path leading to Nishigaoka Hospital. If you go here for a while, turn right without going to the hospital and go down the gentle slope, you will hit the Utsunomiya Ring Road. After crossing the push button signal here, you will arrive at the parking lot, and this is Nagaoka Hyakuana. Nagaoka Hyakuana is thought to be a cave tomb built around the early 7th century, and a total of 52 cave tombs, 44 in the east group and 8 in the west group, are dug in the tuff facing the south. The road of Toyosato Mahoroba further passes through the museum and continues to Kitayama Cemetery.

This park is recommended for summer and autumn. In the summer, children were able to play around at the water play area at the end of a long slide. In autumn, the trees surrounding the circular square in front of the slide are colored, and the fallen leaves are sure to make a photo shoot. Perhaps it is famous to the locals, I see people who are used for shooting adult ceremonies and people who shoot photos and videos. It's a nice park that is vacant, but it's a little disappointing that there is only a temporary toilet on the north side. Playsets and tables are also aging, so it may not be suitable as a park for small children to play with playsets.
