★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been to Chibo last November 2017. I didn't know the place before, and ran into it by chance. I only knew I wanted to try some local okonomiyaki.
It was 2pm-ish on a Friday, not crowded at all. I liked the fact that you can sit at the bar and see the chef cook right in front of you.
You can order 3 different degustation samplers (I think the one I picked was 5,000JPY) with more or less courses. You can also pick à la carte.
I decided to go for the $50-ish 7-course meal and wasn't disappointed. The food is good, made me discover tastes and dishes I have never had before (the salad was a bit random though, yet good). Everything was good an well done, the chef and staff were super nice and smiling.
Some may say it is expensive ; I do not agree. Of course it is not cheap, but I found everything I was looking for : a Japanese bistrot-like, with good food and surprises.
I enjoyed my lunch there.
