★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 赤ちゃん、幼児をつれていくのはグッドです。夏の暑い日、冬の寒い日にお家の光熱費を減らす目的で来ても、他の子供の親御さんと会話が弾むこともありです。三鷹市の児童館では、他にむらさき児童館(４小近く)、西児童館(駅だと武蔵境が最寄りか)がありますがどこも自転車では30分以内の範囲なので順番に行ってみて自分にあったところに通うのがよいかと思いす。それぞれ特徴があります。

建物の外観や内装は古いけれども、館内が広く、様々な遊具に、沢山の絵本や児童書、三鷹近隣の史蹟資料や書籍が揃う図書コーナーが嬉しい。
また、スタッフの方々の気配りが充実しており、子育ての相談にも気軽に応じてくれる。
管理栄養士や保健師の方が訪問してくれる日もあり、乳児から幼児までの食事についてのアドバイスも受けられるのは心強い。
イベントも豊富。
子連れの大人にとっても、気負わずに過ごせる空間。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2019年にリニューアルしているため館内がとても綺麗です。立地が悪いのか訪れる人や子供も少なめのように思います。その分穴場！乳児室は広くないですがおもちゃがどれも新しく清潔感がありました。おむつ替えは共同トイレ（多目的トイレ）の他、乳児室内にありました。授乳スペースも室内にあり、パーテーションを完全に閉められる個室が1つありました。
もう少し大きい子供たちは、体育館のような場所があり、ボールなどで遊んでいました。
The hall is very beautiful because it was renewed in 2019. I think that there are few visitors and children whether the location is bad. That little secret! The baby room is not large, but all toys were new and clean. The diaper change was in the infant room as well as the shared toilet (multipurpose toilet). There was also a nursing space in the room, and there was one private room where the partition could be completely closed.
The larger children had a place like a gymnasium and played with balls.
