★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東海十二景は、平成3年に東海村観光協会によって制定された村内の12カ所の景勝地である。
「落陽の厳かさよ、壮大な朱金色の華やぎよ。巨大な日輪は、いまその終わりの姿を西丘の森かげに沈めようとしている。」
真崎浦は、鎌倉時代までは村松海岸の入り江だったが、徐々に堆積によって潟湖化。須和間・照沼・長砂・足崎・高野にまたがる周囲約4.5kmの沼地となったが、江戸末期から昭和13年まで断続的に行われた干拓によって消滅、水田化した。真崎浦がありし日は、対岸の多良崎城方面に沈む夕日はさぞ美しい光景だったのでしょうが、「十二景」制定時には選定者の記憶に残るのみ・・・。

Masakiura was a cove on the Muramatsu coast until the Kamakura period, but gradually became a lagoon due to sedimentation. It became a swamp with a circumference of about 4.5 km that straddles Suwama, Terunuma, Nagasuna, Tarazaki, and Takano, but it disappeared and became paddy due to the intermittent reclamation from the late Edo period to 1938. On the day when there was Masakiura, the sunset over the Tarasaki Castle on the opposite bank would have been a beautiful sight, but when the "Twelve Views" was established, it was only remembered by the selected people.
