建設当初、屋上にソーラーパネルを設置するなど先進的な設備が取り入れられたが、それが石油がなければ動かない代物であり、省エネ・経費削減効果はまるでなく間もなく運用停止。
それを設置するためのコストが非常に高く、外壁をペンキで塗る予算がなくなったという間抜けな話がある。
もちろん、今はきちんと塗装されている。
芝川が大増水して氾濫の恐れが生じた際、避難所でありながら真っ先に沈む位置にあるのはいかがなものか。
