★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best local Japanese food (beyond sushi / sashimi / ramen) that I have ever had ! Not English friendly, but you can show pictures to the waitress of what you want to eat. Try the tofu pig tail soup and Yakitori without fail !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Come here for super local Japanese dining experience. This is where the lemon sour (alcoholic drink) was first served. You have to squeeze your own lemon. Suuuuuuuper cheap drinks and food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ban has a crazy athmosphere (loud, smoky...) so it's a very cool for getting drinks with friends in the evening (special lemon sour where you squeeze yourself your lemon). Food is not great. Finally I recommend for getting drinks in a funny athmosphere

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great vibe and great service! I asked for recommendations and got six different types of meat for $6 USD. I also had a nice conversation with a local that told me this restaurant is the best in Japan for motsuyaki. The place was packed, standing room only, and I still got great service hot off the grill.
I think I had a couple different types of tongue, some pork, beef, squid, and something else that remained unnamed. It’s worth the bus ride from the nearest subway station!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great for lemon sours, and it’s not smoky anymore since I think that’s been banned in Japan. They take temperature check at the door, but no real distancing measures are put in place inside. Staff kind of rushes you out unless you’re drinking a lot though
