起き上がりこぼしや、こけし、紙雛とか干支の張り子なんかをかわいいなと思ったことはあるけどもこれって何処で買えるのかな？と思った方ここで買えます。しかも、素晴らしき目利きによるセレクトの果てに。
最近見かける民芸品のキッチン用品等のの延長線上とは、全く別のベクトルで存在し続ける民芸品店だと思います。基本は作家さんが居て、買い付けられているモノが多いのでギャラリー的な側面もあるのでしょうが、歴史を感じさせる物量とセレクトの幅の広さにより独特の雰囲気を醸し出しており、時空が歪みます。
恐らく家族で営まれているのですが息子さんが更新しているであろうInstagramに時折大橋裕之さんやバイオレットエヴァーガーデンの情報が挟まれるのが個人的に微笑ましいんですが、現代的かつ庶民的な審美眼が継承されているのだなと思えてそれもまた素敵です。
蒲郡には、土地柄なんでしょうか？趣味の良い尖った雑貨を置くお店が多い印象ですがこれはフォークロア谷口さんの影響も大きかったりするのでは。季節の飾り物や骨董、テキスタイル類、彫刻作品なども拝見できますし、休日の散策がてら四季の折に訪れては模様替えを彩りたい永くお世話になれるお店です。
