★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新旧北上川の水流をコントロールする水門の下流側にある閘門。スエズ運河やオランダの運河群のように流れを堰き止めて水の高低差を利用して船を行き来させてたみたいです。
かつての氾濫が多かった北上川に対する治水のための先人の知恵が垣間見えます。地味だけど素晴らしい遺構です。
個人的には「締切」の石碑がツボに入りました。この写真、仕事とかで督促するときに使おうかな笑
A lock on the downstream side of the floodgate that controls the flow of the old and new Kitakami River. Like the Suez Canal and the Dutch canals, it seems that they blocked the flow and used the height difference of the water to move ships back and forth.
A glimpse of the wisdom of our ancestors for hydraulic control of the Kitakami River, which was once flooded. It is a simple but wonderful remains.
Personally, the "deadline" stone monument has entered the acupoint. I wonder if this photo will be used when urging people to work
