また、連島と福田に跨がる新開地の新名称「水島」が定着するきっかけとなった、社名に「水島」を付けた最初の企業でもあった。
供給エリアは倉敷市の水島・玉島・西阿知であり、市の中心部や中庄は岡山ガスのエリア。
Established by Toho Gas in Nagoya for the purpose of supplying fuel to the Okayama Factory of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Aircraft Manufacturing (a branch factory of Nagoya Manufacturing) during the war.
It was also the first company to add "Mizushima" to the company name, which led to the establishment of a new name, "Mizushima," in a new land that spans the islands and Fukuda.
The supply areas are Mizushima, Tamashima, and Nishiachi of Kurashiki City, and the center of the city and Nakasho are Okayama gas areas.
