★ ★ ★ ★ ★ とても美しい場所でした。中が改修工事のため、見ることができなかったのが残念でした。教会の裏に、広い芝生があって、細川ガラシヤの像がありました。
It was a very beautiful place. It was a pity that the inside was not visible due to renovation work. There was a large lawn behind the church and a statue of Hosokawa Galashiya.

住宅地の中にいきなり現れ、その荘厳な雰囲気に圧倒されます。
ただ・・・
建物の中にも注意書きがあったと思うけど、建物内部は撮影禁止のはず。
なのに、こういったところに平気で建物内部の写真を載せてる輩は、いかがなものでしょうか？
地元の人たちが、日本最古といわれるくらい長く祈りの場としてきた、神聖なスポット。
『映え！」なんて、とっくの昔に死んでるペラッペラな感覚や勢いで写真撮って、こうやって叩かれるのも承知の上で？ネットに掲載する、その感覚を疑います。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ どのように改修されるか楽しみにお待ちください。日本で二番目に古いと言われる教会。120年余経過し、数年前から改修が必要なため公開停止中。
随分前に見学させていただいた際には、畳敷きもあり、古い日本の教会らしいと思いました。カラフルなステンドグラスは日が差すと非常に美しかったことが思い出されます。
Please look forward to how it will be renovated. The second oldest church in Japan. Over 120 years have passed and public access has been suspended as it has to be repaired several years ago.
When I visited there a long time ago, I thought it was an old Japanese church with tatami mats. It is remembered that the colorful stained glass was very beautiful in the sun.
