★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 木造駅舎が壊されてしまったのは残念ですが、JR東海らしい駅舎も趣きがあります。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 桜の木を見て感じた・・・駅の開設と共に、桜の木の樹齢も戦中よりも遥か前の100年以上なでしょう・・・村人の生活を担い、人の行動や、活動拠点でもある駅は人が集まる、出会いや別れ、様々、個々の人生にもドラマチックな駅との思い出があるでしょう。
戦争の混乱期は、軽々しく発言も出来ない程の悲惨さもあったのでしょう。
村人の悲しい家族との別れ、悲しい姿での里帰りも見届けてきたはずです、それ故なのか
威風堂々と月日を重ねてきた桜の木は何かを知り、問い掛ければ、優しく、何かを導いてくれそうです。本日は8月15日なのですが、「全ては当たり前ではない」と、桜の木が、諭してくれそうです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 宮田村の玄関口宮田駅。
ローカル線ながら二線対面式のホームの駅である。
無人駅で自動改札も券売機もないが、小さな待合所はある。
駅の目の前の公園から湧水がでており、村民の憩いの場となっている。
朝夕の通勤通学には多くの利用者があり、駅前の狭い駐車場には送り迎えの車が列を作っていた。
作りが新しい駅なので哀愁はそこまで感じない。

Although it is a local line, it is a two-line face-to-face platform station.
There are no automatic ticket gates or ticket vending machines at unmanned stations, but there is a small waiting area.
Spring water comes out from the park in front of the station, and it is a place of relaxation for the villagers.
There were many users commuting to work and school in the morning and evening, and cars were lined up in the narrow parking lot in front of the station.
