★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Didn’t expect this place to be so deep and up in the mountains but absolutely enjoyed the nice little adventure to go and back. Accessible via public transportation from Tokyo as well. Food is also good, and the view from the restaurant was magnificent.

Enjoyed walking through the jungle and the sceneries were outstanding. Naturally beautiful place with rhododendrons blossoms ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an amazing shrine and well worth the drive up and around the mountain. It has be recently renovated and they have done a great job. Wonderful architecture, beautiful colours and great atmosphere at the top of the mountain. Be warned! The T-Shirts are smaller than they seem...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It takes a while to get here but it was worth it. For the adventurous, there are a couple of trails you can take to get there and also to the back temple. It was so quiet and serene, being surrounded by all the trees. Would definitely come back here again.
