★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山門から左側に少し階段を登って行くと、二重の多宝塔が有ります。
元々は和歌山県の神社に建立されていた物を、原爆犠牲者の供養の為にここに移築したそうです。
桜の木は何本か有りますがモミジの木の方が多く有り、秋の紅葉の時期が綺麗な所です。
多宝塔と下の参道の間に多くのモミジが植えられているので、
秋には周辺が綺麗に紅葉します。
塔の中には、国指定重要文化財の木造阿弥陀如来坐像が安置されており、秋の紅葉の時期に公開されます。
If you go up the stairs to the left from the gate, you will find the double Tahoto.
Originally it was built at a shrine in Wakayama prefecture, but it was rebuilt here for the memorial service of atomic bomb victims.

A wooden statue of the Amida Nyorai, a nationally designated important cultural property, is enshrined in the tower and will be open to the public during the autumn foliage.

It is a beautiful and big tower that can be seen at the entrance of Mitakidera. It is a little different from the main route.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Pagoda at Mitaku temple grounds to listen to water in stream + birds in trees surrounding.
Especially beautiful in spring when bright pink blossoms in tree behind Pagoda.
Pagoda dates back to 1526, originally in Wakayama prefecture and moved to this spot in 1951 as part of effort to help lost souls from 1845 Atomic bomb in Hiroshima find peace. Inside the Pagoda (can't be seen) there is a wooden Buddha statue according to the information signboard.
